About Sacred Isle

Sacred Isle is Priestess of Avalon,Vicky Brierley. She is located on the West Berkshire/Hampshire border. Vicky offers Tarot Reading, Goddess Workshops as well as providing a ceremonial service for all of life's events; be that Handfasting, marriage blessings, baby namings’ and funeral rites.

In 2001 I began to hear the call which would become my life’s vocation, that of Priestess of the Goddess. I began my training with Kathy Jones at the Isle of Avalon Foundation and at the Autumn Equinox of 2003 I self-initiated as Priestess of Avalon.

I am also a professional tarot reader, reading now for the last 18 years. It is a joy and a delight; I look beyond the traditional usage of the tarot and use it as a tool which we can apply to fulfil our own souls purpose.

Part of my role as Priestess is that of ceremonialist. I create honest, joyous and sincere ceremonies for all of life’s events, be that handfastings, marriage blessings, naming ceremonies, house clearances and blessings, girls coming of age and funeral rites.

I am deeply passionate about reclaiming Goddess sites and bringing them into public consciousness. Often these sites have their own myths which have been lost in the mists of time or forgetting. It is a fascinating and absorbing work.

In addition to this, I co-created the group Sisters of the Silver Apple and Afal Arian with a fellow Priestess at Mabon 2005. We held a series of dark moon circles for women at the Wellbeing Centre in Newbury, Berkshire. We are hoping to bring these circles back on a permenant basis.

At Mabon this year (2009) we will be restarting our open seasonal celebrations; these will be grounded in the Wheel of Brigit-Ana. We are happy to announce that we will be holding them at The Crystal Dragon, Caversham, Berkshire.

I am also now writing a brand new course which will be a year long training devoted to Ceridwen. This will lead to a self-initiation as a Priestess of Ceridwen. I am hoping to offer this at Samhain 2010.
