Beautiful Bridget - An Imbolc Expereince
At the Crystal Dragon, Caversham, Reading, Berkshire
Saturday, 6th February 2009, 10 to 4pm
Bridget, Goddess of these Isles
Bride (pronounced Bride-ee), Breed or Brigit is often conflated with the Goddess Brigantia – who is also sometimes known as the tutelary (patron) Goddess of these Isle – The Isles of Brigit-Ana. Much later on, She became equated with St Bridget of Ireland.
She is the patron Goddess of healing, of smithcraft and of midwifery. She is the muse and the poet; Her touch heals us.
The beautiful picture of Brighid is by Mickie Mueller. Please click here to view her artwork.

Imbolc: The coming of Spring
Bridget takes Her healing white rod and touches the snow covered ground. Spring will come again! The delicate snowdrop pushes its head through the frosty earth, an inspiration of new life and new hope.
Imbolc is on its way!
Goddess Workshop
At this time of Imbolc, we will rejoice in the coming of the spring time and we will ask Her to inspire us in our crafts.
As we sit together in sacred space, we will be making Bride's eyes and Bride's crosses whilst learning about Her healing nature. We will be devoting some time to Bridget as muse and inspirer of poetry, creating our own simple ceremonies which we will then perform.
