Goddess Workshops

Beautiful Bridget - An Imbolc Experience

Imbolc 2010

10am to 4pm

Join with Vicky at the magical time of Imbolc to meet Bride, the patron Goddess of the festival of Imbolc.

We will rejoice in the coming of the spring time and we will ask Her to inspire us in our crafts.

We will make Bride's eyes and Bridie's crosses during the workshop whilst learning about Her healing nature. Finally we will create a ceremony to honour the Lady of Spring.

Sovereign Goddess - Elen of the Ways

Beltane 2010

10am to 4pm

To the goddess Nehalennia,

on account of goods duly kept safe,

Marcus Secundinius Silvanus,

trader in pottery with Britain,

fulfilled his vow willingly and deservedly.

From an inscription on a votive altar to Nehalennia

The origins of the Goddess Elen (Sometimes known as Elen of the Ways or Elen of the Hosts) are shrouded in mystery and intrigue.

In this unique one day workshop, we will explain the silver threads of Elen's beginning culminating in the creation of a ceremony in sacred space for Her. We will learn about Elen’s nature as guide, visionary, dream oracle, walker-between-the-worlds and sovereign Goddess of the Isle of Brigit-Ana.

The Great Mother - Goddess of the Grain

Lammas 2010

10am to 4pm

In this one day workshop, we will be exploring the origins of Lammas. We will be discussing ways to celebrate the festival as well as the significance and importance of giving thanks for the many gifts bestowed in the year. We will also explore the nature of sacrifice.Together we will make one of the most vital of Goddess images; The Venus of Wilendorf.

We will learn about the Goddess as Mother, provider and nurturer. We will learn about Ker, Goddess of the Grain. We will also create a harvest altar and make corn dollies which we can place upon it. Finally, we will all create a ceremony in honour of the Lammas Goddess, Ker.
