At the time of Samhain (Summers End) or Hallowe’en, the Lady turns Her dark face to us. Samhain is a time of letting go of that which we no longer need, of things which do not serve us. In this first of a series of workshops we will explore the nature of the Crone and Her role in our lives.

We will learn about Her role as healer, transformer and destroyer. We will acknowledge Her as wise woman and witch. We will journey to meet Her and we will listen to Her transformational words of wisdom.

Cerridwen of the Cauldron

Cerridwen is the renowned Crone Goddess from ancient Welsh folklore. She is transformer and healer. She stirs Her sacred cauldron which contains Her magical brew. Cerridwen calls to us and asks if we would like to drink from its depths.

The Crone and Transformation

As Crone, she is the dark lady, the queen of the night; the Goddess who takes all our pain, our suffering, our doubts and our fears and transforms them.

Samhain: A Celtic New Year

As the sun moves into the sign of Scorpio, the veil between the worlds draws thin. At the time of Samhain (Hallowe’en) our ancestors would celebrate the final harvest, their New Year and remember those who have passed before.
